  1. Almog

Solid & Sturdy: Great for big hauls – I’m usually a light packer and have backpacked for 4 nights using Gregory’s Savant 38L but that doesn’t cut it for winter backpacking. I purchased the Baltoro 65L for a Mt.

  2. Evan

Great Pack – Very happy with the Gregory Zulu. Fits me very comfortably and wears the miles well, never really getting unconformable even on 20+ miles days I have had it on so far.

  3. HenryB

Great backpack – Got a great deal on this pack. The quality is awesome and it fit me like a glove. Would definitely recommend.

Been carrying a Gregory for over a Quarter Century – Back in my college days I worked in a Mtn Shop and sold the two greatest suspensions ever to be created; the Gregory Adventure and Summit Series and the Dana ArcFlex. Dana G sadly sold out.

  5. goodmom

Amazing Pack – Very long backpacking trips have become a rite of passage for my children and their peersAnd this pack is the best we have ever seen.

  6. zseller09

Great bag – I bought it and seems great! I didn’t get a chance to use the product yet but am excited to do so.

  7. Telemundo

Lightweight + comfortable + accessible = delicious – It is so hard to find a lightweight pack with a breathable suspension and zippered opening. I can fit more in this 30L pack than a 36L pack with the goofy flap top pocket.

  8. Zach52

The perfect bag for access. – I bought this bag a few weeks ago, and I made the right choice. The zipper access to the main compartment is better than any other bag I’ve owned.

  9. JAWMT

Gregory has fit dialed in. – If you pack heavy loads, this is the pack for you. I had a Gregory Rainier for many years and although it was a heavy pack (9lbs), I loved the fit.

  10. Face

Zulu 30 Load Capacity – What is the load capacity of the Zulu 30? Thanks!.

  11. JRS in CO

Comfortable with simple, well designed features – Bought this as a day pack with specific intent of winter hiking. The side compression straps are perfect for snowshoes. Great access from top or front. The brain has plenty of room.

  12. Alex J

Surprised by fit and thoughtful features – Original backpack was an Osprey and thought the fit on that was fine, then gave this one a shot and found out what a great backpack should feel like. The Gregory Baltoro feels more comfortable.

  13. Paulkorsa

Gregory baltoro 65 – Gregory baltoro 65 is awesome Fits awesome, super durable, it’s my second Gregory. Fits all my gear ; everything is easily accessible.

  14. Mountainson

Awesome pack! – I have been looking at this pack for over a year now. I was unsure if I wanted to spend the money, because many packs do not fit comfortably on my body.

  15. Julian

Best backpack I’ve ever worn – I was skeptical of the weight as Gregory packs are known to be slightly heavier but the pack is lighter than expected and filled with features. The suspension system is amazing and is by far.

  16. Gavbot

Exceptional Qualities – I bought this backpack for a trip to Peru and it worked very well. The Front U-pack zipper makes it very easy to access anything in the pack.

  17. AltaViaUno

Love the arm straps! – The Gregory arm straps are shaped so that they curve in toward the midline as they come down from the shoulder. This means they don’t chafe my inner arm when I swing my arms, walking.

  18. Mark in SF

Very comfortable with lots of features – I’m 6ft 5 and this pack in large is really comfortable. I’m using it as a daypack which it might be a bit large for, but when it’s this comfy who cares it it weighs an extra 0.5lb.

  19. jginart

Wonderful backpack – I bought this for a section hike of the Appalachian trail with my son’s Boy Scout Troop. It’s a beautifully well made and thought out backpack.

  20. fitzmafia1

Awesome Pack – I needed a new pack for Philmont and someone told me about this one. It is a great pack and is more then big enough for a 12 day trek.

  21. Nodrog

Good all-around size pack – Bought this for Peru, haven’t gone yet. But did take it to Disneyland this weekend. Worked out great. Lots of pockets and hidden compartments to organize my stuff.

  22. Julia

A nice upgrade from the old z30 – I bought a Gregory z30 over 10 years ago and used that pack to its dying days. The Zulu 30 is the new version of the z30.

  23. Mo540

Great Find! – I have taken this on two weekend backpacking trips so far and it is so comfortable! Great adjustments, I love the thicker waist straps, and the mini backpack that comes with it is great to.

  24. SMB1

Great product and quick delivery – I recently purchased a gregory baltoro 85l back pack. The delivery time was reasonable and the pack is every bit as expected.

  25. Ted

It’s an amazing backpack. Period. – I backpack a dozen or so times a year. I almost always bring people with me that are new to backpacking.

  26. Todc

Great pack. Lots of room. Feels great. – Very happy I bought this pack. I tried on the 64L first but then wanted more space.

  27. Phil

Great for Travel – This is a great pack for weekend trips for 2-3 days. I have used it a lot on weekend trips with friends because it is so easy to just grab, stuff, and go.

  28. Kurrito

Best suspension available in a pack this size – After having used traditional “top loading with flap” packs for decades I wasn’t sure what to make of the “hybrid-zip” top loading flap Gregory uses here. I have a bias against zippers so it’s.

  29. dwm1110111

Good pack, not for me. – Returned because the curve of the frame kept the pack too far from the middle of my back. That’s a personal fit issue. Looked tough, nicely arranged pockets.

  30. BodieWalker

Comfortable Do It All Pack – In the short time I’ve had this pack it has really shined. It’ll work for a short overnight or weekend. I can sinch down the compression straps for day hiking. It works as a carry on.

  31. trent08

Everything you’d need – This is a fantastic backpack for the PCT or any backpacking trip. All the essentials without the useless bells and whistles.

  32. Clueless1

Amped to take this pack to Philmont. Very pleased. – Perfect blend of size and comfort. Probably the nicest pack I’ve ever owned, can’t wait to get this out on the trail for a ten day trek! I even bought a second one for my son as he was equally.

  33. dflah

Great Backpacker – Perfect pack, the 65 is a backpacker favorite and inexpensive. What more could you want.

  34. Willys1954

Great Quality – I was looking for a nice day and snowshoeing pack and this fit the bill. It fits the extra gear needed for those longer days in the cooler weather with room to spare.

  35. Tony

Not good – I’ve had this pack for over a year and have given it well enough use to form an honest review. I have long heard the praises of Gregory equipment and decided to try one.

  36. stj1

Gregory packs are the best – Got a great deal on this pack, it replaced my old Baltoro pack that I’ve been using heavily for over 8 years. My old pack is actually still being used (although it isn’t pretty) for canyoning.

  37. jblaser54

Fantastic Backpack – I was impressed with this pack from the time I first unpacked it. The materials, workmanship and features are outstanding.

  38. Jiber

I love it! – We bought this for day hikes, however we realize I could possibly use this during the summer for an over nite hike too. We also ordered the Gregory 3L hydration bladder which fits perfectly.

  39. HK

A great pack with a caviat – That’s a great pack. I am planning to use it for some more challenging day hikes like Bishop Pass, Whitney, Where extra weight is not desirable.

The Gregory Men's Baltoro 65L Pack is a hiking backpack for short and long weekends alike. Whether you're charging the backcountry mid-summer or hitting up the outdoors in the winter, the Response A3 suspension with a vented backpanel, cushy foam and silicone lumbar grip transfer weight to the hips for an easier carry. Choose your level of comfort at the lower back with LumbarTune, a removable 10mm insert for customizing the contour at the lumbar area. Dive inside this top loading pack and you'll find a hydration sleeve, called the SideKick, which is completely removable and has straps for use as a day pack when you're ready for a little jaunt to a waterfall after you arrive at camp. When you're mid-hike the U-zip front access allows you to get gear from the middle of the bag without unloading everything and there's also a lower sleeping bag compartment with a removable internal divider. Strap your sleeping pad to the exterior with the cinch straps at the bottom and dual ice axe loops with upper shock locks secure your tools and or trekking poles. Wait! That's not all! The front center zip stores an extra layer, but there is also a hidden rain cover for protection once the skies open and the rains begin to fall.
