Product Information
The YETI 400 Lithium Portable Power Station is designed for charging phones, tablets, cameras, and more whether you're off the grid or the grid is down. An alternative to the noise, fumes and hassle of traditional backup generators, the Yeti uses a 428Wh lithium battery that can be charged from 110 VDC house current or solar panels. This is a quiet, portable power station that recharges from the sun with a Goal Zero solar panel (sold separately) or from a wall outlet. The lithium battery in this power station is smaller than a comparable lead-acid battery, so it's easier to carry around but pumps out the same amount of power. With the 428 watt-hour capacity, you power lights, USB devices even a mini fridge. The front display panel provides readouts of incoming and outgoing power and battery status in 20% increments. This real-time feedback enables precise power management. The Yeti provides an array of output options for any energy need. I have literally bought about $10k in Goal Zero products in the past three years and have had pretty good success. The only product I’ve had problems with is the Escape 150.

I upgraded to a Yeti 400 from a 150. I have chained 4 – Duracell 35 amp hour batteries, totaling 2,000 watts/175 amp hours.
Frustrated Buyer –
I bought my Yeti and was very excited about using it. Bought a package with the solar panels and original lights. Never really got to use it camping but kept it charged for almost a year.

Generator is fantastic. However when I ordered it I didn’t see any mention of needing to buy the solar panels.

Light in the Remote Meadow – We have to ford a river to get to our remote straw bale cabin in the mountains. Sometimes we can drive across; sometimes there is a foot bridge.

Storage??? – I bought this and found it does not store power well at all. Also highly doubt it holds 400watts.

Returning 2nd non-working unit – I was not able to determine usability: Returned 1st Yeti – assumed previously opened because not in original box and was beeping. 2nd unit was in the original box; had not been opened.

Great Assist for Emergency Prep! – I use my Yeti to charge my phone daily, and other devices sporadically. It is important to keep keep it charged and also use it regularly. Just like the battery in your car.

Battery didn’t even last two years! Out $99+ship – Am really disappointed about having to purchase another battery – the first one died about 15 months after purchase. There has to be a better unit out there.

Awesome! – I lived in a 5×8 travel trailer for 6 months and this was the only power supply I had. I had LED lights, iPhone, iPad, and little usb fan hooked up all the time.

If its beeping – Had to send back and get new one. And the new one also had a bad battery. Unit beeps when battery is low, so if box is beeping when it gets delivered, send back right away.
